Boston Red Sox Implement Digital Ticketing Initiative

It seems as though more and more major events are looking to implement digital ticketing. One of the reservations that ticket-holders and stadium owners have is the security of these digital transactions. As we've blogged about in the past, the solution is a constantly changing barcode algorithm that never stays the same which prevents ticket resalers from marking up the price.

The Red Sox are making the upper bleacher seats at Fenway Park available digitally so fans can purchase these seats for the stadium price of $12.00 per ticket.

The Red Sox are looking to gradually eliminate those people who are purchasing specific seats solely for the purpose of resale. They want to get these tickets into the hands of fans and families who are looking to enjoy a baseball game at a reasonable price.

We congratulate the Red Sox for this, however, their current policy requires the person that purchased the ticket to bring the credit card they used for the purchase and present it upon entry to the stadium. Well, we can just see a plethora or problems arising here. The person may have forgot that specific credit card, maybe they bought the tickets for their kids or friends to go to the game and don't want to hand over their credit card. By using eSecure Barcode technology, the stadium could issue digital tickets and not require that the fan do anything else but come to the ballpark!

As other stadiums begin to look at digital ticketing initiatives, they also need to consider ways to make the purchasing and security of these tickets as convenient as possible. By using changing barcode technology, the stadium can get tickets (at the proper price) to the fans and the fans get a seamless digital transaction from purchasing their tickets to arrive at the stadium hassle-free.

JetBlue Releases New Interactive Travel App

This past Friday, JetBlue released their new travel app which includes many exciting features that will make your travel experience much more enjoyable.

The app allows you to get instant access to your itineraries, flight status information, and a glimpse of the entertainment you’ll be provided during your flight. You even get a look at the snacks they’ll be serving on the flight. The only feature missing is an eSecure electronic transaction changing every minute barcode algorithm to enhance the app’s security.

In the screen shot below, you can see what the apt would look like on your iPhone. Here are five features that we thought makes this an almost perfect app:

1.       The app shows you the weather of your destination city.
2.       Your flight status is front and center.
3.       We really like the sharing feature because of the added convenience this feature provides.
4.       We liked how it’s easy to a book another flight if you needed to.
5.       Being able to get a flight status update by clicking on this button was another good feature.

Another thing that we thought was quite interesting, was that the app was released this past Friday and already 112 customer reviews have been submitted and 91 people rated the app five stars and gave some resounding reviews.

There were a few interesting reviews that talked about improvements such as offering the most affordable rates to a person’s favorite destinations or destinations they have visited in the past and another person suggested providing an online boarding pass.

Our only suggestion for improvement would be to add secure changing barcode technology to the app so if a mobile boarding pass feature is integrated into the app, then there would be an added level of mobile security protecting passengers’ boarding pass and personal information. There was even a review suggesting JetBlue exploit an iPhones capabilities and do it all with the addition of our eSecure electronic transactions changing every minute barcode algorithm to make it "the travel app" of all travel apps.

Using our ePass secure changing barcode technology, the barcode on every JetBlue boarding pass can constantly be changing on mobile boarding passes so no electronic theft can take place.

Overall, we’re pleased with JetBlue’s newest app and we look forward to new releases with more added features for convenience and security.

Scanning Your Smartphone Makes Travel Easier

With our newly developed secure barcode changing software, common everyday tasks are going to get a lot easier.

In the image above, a user is having her smartphone scanned to claim her boarding pass using ePass software and technology on her smartphone.

With the arrival of smartphones on the scene, ePass has invented an automatically changing barcode algorithm to do the same job. The difference is that this technology helps users to receive all their credentials, passes and tickets directly on their smartphones or ePass dedicated devices regardless of where they are.

As the Security Code is constantly changing, it eliminates unauthorized access, thus enhancing the security of the device. When the barcode stops changing, it means that the user has been authenticated. Once the authentication has been secured then the barcode starts changing again. Entry is automatic as the credentials are scanned wirelessly.

This secure changing barcode can be used in banks, airlines, movies, on cars and much more. This new free app now Available at the Apple iTunes, Android Market and Amazon App Stores helps to prevent counterfeiting, fraud and duplication.

To learn more about this software and technology, please contact our ePass offices at (305) 343-7480. Our Sales Representatives will be glad to answer your questions and demonstrate how our secure changing barcode software can take security for your events to the next level.
